TALES OF THE EIFFEL TOWER
Exhibition-visit, celebrating the 120th anniversary of the monument, has been held over into 2010. This exhibition extends the possibility for visitors to discover or re-discover the fabulous story of the Eiffel Tower via a multitude of objects, poster, photos, illustrations, films and interactive displays.

WEST ELEVATOR CLOSED
An important modernisation project of one of the historical elevators of the Eiffel Tower has just gotten underway. The SETE (Eiffel Tower operating company), responsible for this major construction site, has therefore closed the West pillar elevator to the public. Visitors will be welcomed at the North, South and East pillars during the construction.
During the renovations, the opening hours for visiting the monument remain the same: Visiting hours have not changed: the Eiffel Tower is open every day from 9:30am to 23:45pm (9:00am to 00:45am in summer).

OPENING OF A “DISCOVERY COURSE”
FOR CHILDREN ON THE 1ST FLOOR
For the first time, a fun and challenging “discovery course” has been especially installed on the Eiffel Tower for children 6-10 years old, with the intention of better informing them about the history of the Tower and its creator, Gustave Eiffel: lots of details, facts & figures and anecdotes, from its construction to the present day.
19th RE-PAINTING: 2009-2010 THE EIFFEL TOWER GETS BEAUTIFIED
Since its beginnings, the Eiffel Tower has been re-painted every 7 years.
The 19th painting of the Tower began in March 2009, is expected to take 18 months to complete, and all the while, the Tower will remain open to visitors.
